You know lots of shapes already. There are 2-dimensional shapes that you can draw on paper, for example circles, ovals, squares, triangles or hexagons. There are also 3-dimensional shapes such as spheres, cylinders, cones, cubes or pyramids.

Artists and designers often use strong geometrical shapes. Sometimes they are very obvious in the artwork and sometimes they are more hidden.
